When in Rome...

Rome Italy New MoonNew Moon, Twilight's sequel, will take a globe-trotting stop in Volterra, Italy in order to visit the ancient Volturi vampires that live there. (Including Dakota Fanning, perhaps). But the question remains: where will the movie actually film the Italian segments? So far, the information we’ve gathered indicates that the filming locations are Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Rome, Italy.

But why Rome? Sarah Braasch relates her travels to Volterra with this press release from a “Volturi spokeswoman." Please note that this is a joke... There is no such place as Volterra, no matter how much Twilighters beg and plead:

Volturi spokeswoman Heidi explained, “Why go anywhere else? Why recreate Volterra when you can have Volterra? When we heard that Summit was considering shooting in Rome in lieu of Volterra, we knew that we had to do something. We wanted to show them just how beautiful, cool, photogenic, and atmospheric Volterra is. There is no replacement. And, we know that the Twilight fandom will agree."

  4. I love Rome because it's one of my favorite cities because of people and customs, so I'm a little bit sick hearing about Twilight movie because I expected something more scaring but not it's like a love movie, it's a sorrow they using that beautiful city as a main place.m10m
