How To Be is a story about a singer/songwriter who is down on his luck and eventually seeks help from a Canadian self-help guru. While this movie will be a must see for all of Rob's fans they be getting the eye candy vampire that they have been all over since the release of Twilight.
In the trailer we have provided here, Rob's character is at the end of his rope. His girlfriend breaks up with him, he gets fired from a volunteer job (how does that work?), moves back home with his parents who aren't interested in his life, and he feels like he isn't normal so he enlists the help of famous self-help author of It's Not Your Fault, Dr. Ellington, to "fix" him. Will his efforts work or will Rob have to just stick with his music? As the trailer says: Sometimes the only way to find yourself is to let yourself be. A bonus for fans of Pattinson's music will get to see scenes of Rob and his guitar singing some songs as well.
The movie portrays itself as part comedy and part drama and seems to get Rob a new gateway. If this movie is successful he will be able to continue a long lasting career. He wont be stuck with having to appeal to young teenage girls but will have the whole of movies available to him. Good luck Robert!
The soundtrack for How to Be will include three original songs by Robert Pattinson and will be released on April 28. The movie will be available on demand from IFC films on April 29.
It's hard to imagine Robert Pattinson as anyone other than Edward Cullin, especially when he looks so young in Harry Potter. He definately has a large fan base now that will support his other movies, though.

It wil be interesting to see how well he does in this movie, because he has to break away from being known as the 'Edward Cullen' guy.
ReplyDeletei think that this film's great!
ReplyDeleteit's very impressive to see that Robert Pattinson is indeed able to play Edward Cullen, aka prince charming but as well this sympathic loser guy!
and i think that's what makes him indeed a real good actor
