More Information Regarding Help for Haiti Telethon



As posted earlier, Robert Pattinson will be taking part in the "Hope for Haiti" telethon that is scheduled for this Friday, January 22.

CMT.com has even more information regarding the telethon, including participating programs on air and live web streams.

Hope for Haiti Now will be the most widely-distributed telethon in history, both internationally and across all media platforms. The telethon will air on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT, along PBS, TNT, Showtime, Comedy Central, Bravo, E! Entertainment, the National Geographic Channel, Oxygen, G4, CENTRIC, Current TV, Fuse, MLB Network, EPIX, Palladia, SoapNet, Style, Discovery Health and Planet Green. Canadian networks include CBC Television, CTV, Global Television and MuchMusic.

The event will be also be streamed live online globally across sites including YouTube, Hulu, MySpace, Fancast, AOL, MSN.com, Yahoo, Bing.com, BET.com, CNN.com, MTV.com, VH1.com and Rhapsody and on mobile via Alltel, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and FloTV.

Hope for Haiti Now will also air internationally on BET International, CNN International, National Geographic and MTV Networks International, which is available in 640 million homes worldwide. It will be the first U.S.-based telethon airing on MTV in China. Facebook and Twitter have signed on as official social media partners to help drive donations and tune-in to the
telethon.


Musical performances will be made available for purchase for 99 cents per song through Apple iTunes starting Saturday, January 23. Presenters and speakers in LA include Ben Stiller, Brad Pitt, Chris Rock, Drew Barrymore, George Clooney, Halle Berry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Oprah Winfrey and Samuel L. Jackson. Jon Stewart and former President Bill Clinton will be featured in New York, and Robert Pattinson will appear in London.

So wherever you live, you will be able to take part in the telecast and donate as much as you can for this great cause. Please help Haiti - now is definitely the time.

  1. I am not sure if the swedish MTV will send it. Do you know if they will? I have trubble finding any information about it.
