'Eclipse', the Horror Film?

June 3oth is drawing near and the hype surrounding Eclipse intensifies! Summit pacifies us with several new clips and with each new clip fans are beginning to notice the darkness of the film. In an interview at the MTV Movie Awards, Rob talks about how Eclipse is different from the other films.

"I've seen a very early cut. It's good. It's different. It's really different, like, it's kind of serious...All the kinds of fight scenes that are in New Moon they're, like, real fights now (in Eclipse.) They're not, like, fantasy things. It's like a horror film," Pattinson says to MTV.

I cannot help but wonder if this is the director, David Slade's way of engaging a different audience. Maybe it won't be so hard for girls to get their boyfriends out to theaters on June 30th. For those of us (including myself) who are die-hard fans of the book, we love the drama and the romance of the story. It's too early to call it, so let's keep it optimistic that there will be plenty of Edward/Bella/Jacob love to even it out.
