Wizards Vs. Vampires: Can't All The Supes Just Get Along!

In three weeks, the final installment of Harry Potter will premiere and one of the most talked about series will be over, after leaving its mark on the entertainment industry. A lot like Twilight, Harry Potter has managed to produce one of the most incredible fan bases (me being one of those!) But which is better? Which has earned bragging rights to the most sought after film of the year?!

The two really can't be compared, except for the fact there is a lot of supernatural activity going on in both, but after the MTV Movie awards, when Twilight kicked some wizard tail, the battle between vamp and wizard fans became more apparent. One of the most noted moments of the night was Emma Watson's less than thrilled expression when Kristen Stewart was named Best Actress.

Emma and Kristen are two totally different actors with two totally different styles. With both of them growing up on a movie set, they have each developed their own acting styles and abilities and really have NOTHING in common except the fact that they are both apart of something HUGE! So the question is...which film is bigger? Which has grew to be the biggest phenomenon worldwide?

As you all know, I'm an avid twatter (in the words of Kristen) so I see tons of arguements between Potter and Twi fans all over, so I pose this question to all of the dual fans...if you HAD to pick one which would it be? Are you a Potterhead or a Twihard (in a perfect world you could be both)? Let's put it this way, both movies release on the very same day, which midnight premiere would you attend or would you just hide out in your living room to catch the newest episode of True Blood? :)

  2. If the stated premiere night will happen, I'll definitely watch Harry Potter without hesitations. In terms of imagination and writing skills, I think Rowling is better. I don't really hate twilight but I'm definitely a Potterhead. :))) LONG LIVE HARRY POTTER!

    Blindfolded

It's like asking whos a better wizard - Dumbeldore (strong, clever, calculated, caring) or Lovegood (strong at points but mostly meh)

    LONG LIVE HARRY POTTER!

  5. Ha ha I am shocked there aren't more die hard Twi fans! I have a special place for Edward and Bella...just no way around it. So Twilight is my pick...as far as the story overall...sorry Stephenie, Potter wins.

  6. JK Rowling is awesome BUT, she doesn't have the romance I crave. Twilight comes frist in my heart.

  7. Stephenie created a true romance...never in my life have I wished to be a character as badly as I wished to be Bella on many occasions. To find someone so perfect for you is the human dream. Everyone wants it

  8. Though I love both, I'll choose Harry Potter over Twilight any day. The Harry Potter story is brilliantly written. I love its atmosphere. Sure, it's true there's more romance in Twilight. But there has to be, because that is its main subject. Harry Potter, for me, is just so much more diverse. It has a little romance, it just doesn't dominate.

Twilight too is great though. The books, that is... I love them, and I've read them more than once. The films, however, didn't really have it for me... They thoroughly annoyed me. That's also why I pick Harry Potter; those films, I think, were very nicely done. In my opinion they really caught the books' atmosphere, while the Twilight films just felt... awkward. To me, anyway.

  9. I do agree with most of what you are saying, but for me I just wasn't as invested in Harry Potter. There wasn't a lot about it I could relate to my life. In Twilight there was. Its about first love...losing love...then fighting like hell to get it back...I can relate to that. I guess that's why I have the love affair with Twilight

  10. Many nights I sit up in bed reading Breaking Dawn over and over, ignoring my husband. I too have a love affair with Twilight.
