Liam or Bronson as Jared?

Up-and-coming Canadian male model Liam Randhawa turned down the role of Jared in the Twilight saga sequel, New Moon last month.

The 18 year old university was spotted in a Starbucks by a casting director and being asked to audition for the part, Randhawa received a call back.

"He had a unique look that we wanted but unfortunately it just didn't work out," claimed Stuart Aikens, of the Stuart Aikens Casting Agency.

When Summit Entertainment offered him the role he turned it down because of a scheduling conflict. We have attempted to contact Randhawa to comment on why exactly he turned down the part, but we have been unsuccessful in doing so.

By the looks of it, Randhawa looks like he wants to focus on school and his modeling career. We were successful in finding images of his modeling campaigns on his Facebook profile.

With no major motion pictures under his belt to date, New Moon would have been his first role in a feature film.

In late March, Summit Entertainment announced that they cast another Canadian actor, Bronson Pelletier, as Jared.
