Special Effects Artist on 'New Moon' - 'Vampires Don't Sparkle'

Todd Masters, a 22-year-old effects artist whose Los Angeles-based company, Masters FX, worked on New Moon, thinks different about the whole sparkling vampire thing.
"We're not really into the whole sparkly vampire thing," said Masters, a graduate of Sammamish High School who grew up in Lake Hills. "Vampires don't sparkle."
Masters, however, is excited that he got to work on a project as big as The Twilight Saga and it was his company that brought us the wounds, scars, the Quileute tattoos, and the first vampire death we see in New Moon at the hands of Aro (played by Michael Sheen).

Check out more pics of Masters FX's work on New Moon here.

  1. I thought that the special effects incorporated into the twilight Saga was unique & powerful.

I liked the fact that it didn't follow the same old traditional effects that many of the other Vampire films follow.

However, if you have Vampires in a movie... you need violence, which is why I feel that Twilight Eclipse is the best one in the saga.
