Muse Only On 'Twilight' Soundtracks For Exposure?

Muse's bass player Chris Wolstenholme words might be taken the wrong way by Twilight fans. In a recent interview with BBC Radio, he comments about the band's appearances on the Twilight soundtracks and that any type of exposure is good exposure for the band.

"I'm not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things but sometimes you've just got to get your music out there in different ways...It's very difficult in America because you don't have anything like Radio 1, nothing is national...You have to take every opportunity you get over there and sometimes you have to sell your soul."

Do you feel that he's bashing Twilight with his comment?

  5. Actually I find it may actually more self-sacrificing of the band than a bash on the movies. The goal of musicians is to get their music out to people who want to listen to it. Sometimes that may mean that the band has to compromise on an ideal or the way they write a song.

I had heard a couple of Muse songs prior to Twilight. But I never knew the bands name. Since Twilight I have found 20+ songs that I love that are completely unrelated to the saga.
