"Water For Elephants" Review

Today, Friday, April 22, was the first day Rob's new movie Water For Elephants was in theaters. I attended the first showing along with my mom. The movie, for the most part, goes along with the book. So if you have read the novel by Sara Gruen, you know what to expect. The word I would use for this movie is beautiful. There is so much emotion involved, it made me laugh, cry, along with feelings of anger and resentment.

On a recent interview with Live With Regis and Kelly, Rob said that the elephant, named Rosie in the movie, stole the show and he was right. This elephant is absolutely amazing with all its tricks and well-played acting skills. This is definitely the best movie I have seen in a while, excluding The Twilight Series of course.

The story takes place during the Great Depression and Jacob (Rob Pattinson) is set to take his veterinary exam, when he gets the news that his parents have died in a car crash. He decided to hop on the next train and ends up working at the circus, where he falls in love with the boss' wife, Marlena. Of course, August, the boss, is a total jerk and likes to hit on everything, including the animals and his wife. Basically, it's a Titanic love story and it is amazing! I really hope the fans go out and support Rob in his new role with Reese Witherspoon. I will warn you that Rob does get beat up a few times, but doesn't die!

  2. I just got home from the movie and I'm still smiling. I live in a small town of mostly elderly people and that was who was at the first showing of the movie. It has been a very long time since I have heard anyone clap or cheer at a movie, but boy these folks were showing the love!! Christoph Waltz was amazing, Reese was incredible as usual, and it was a joy to see Rob begin to give us a good idea of what he is going to be capable of as time goes by. Definitly will be buying the DVD.

  4. I am really wanting to see this movie, I think I'll have to grab a few of my girlfriends to go see it though (or rent it I may have waited too long to see in in theaters) Because I am sure that Richie will not want to watch this movie with me. :-/
