'Twilight' Did You Knows

Hi Twi-hards! As promised, the "Did You Knows" are getting juicier and juicier as we get closer to the big premiere day! This weeks "Did You Knows" are all about the Twilight Saga!

Did you know...

1. More than 3000 actors auditioned for the role of Edward Cullen. Author Stephenie Meyer's first choices was The Tudors star Henry Cavill, but by the time shooting began, he was too old for the role, at 24.

2. Kristen Stewart has had to wear contacts during filming - her naturally green eyes didn't match Bella's brown ones. (However, in the rainy Jacob/Bella break-up scene in New Moon, they had to be altered in post production because the heavy rain meant she couldn't wear her contacts).

3. When Bella is searching the internet for information about the Quileute tribe in Twilight and finds the link for the book store in Port Angeles, the link above it is for Little Brown, the publisher of the Twilight Saga.

4. In the Twilight film, when Bella wakes up in the hospital after the fight with James, the TV in the background is playing a montage of the previous fight scene in the ballet studio.

5. In the Twilight film, Stephenie Meyer has a cameo appearance during the diner scene when Charlie asks Bella if she likes the boys in town. Meyer's character orders a vegetarian sandwich.

6. At 70.6 Million, Twilight claims the highest opening weekend box office gross for a film directed by a woman (Catherine Hardwicke)

7. Originally, Rosalie was named "Carol" and Jasper was named "Ronald."

8. Two of Meyer's brothers helped her choose the cars the Cullens drive. She decided on Bella's truck all by herself.

9. When the 'evil vampires' make their first appearance in Twilight, actors Cam Gigandet, Rachelle Lefevre, and Edi Gathegi are all wearing little slippers painted like bare feet.

10. Jessica in the movie, is a combination of the characters Jessica Stanley and Lauren Cheney from the book. Eric in the movie is a combination of the characters Eric Yorkie and Ben Cheney from the book.
