Jacob And Reneesme

So, I'm sure most of us have read Breaking Dawn by now and the topic for this week is imprinting. When Breaking Dawn first came out, many people were appalled that Stephenie Meyer could conjure such an idea. A teen boy falling in love with his best friend's baby. Many critics thought it was perverted. There are so many sexual predators out there. We wouldn't want to give anyone any ideas.

Of course, if you ask any fan of Twilight, they will simply tell you it's just a story, what's the big deal? As Devil's Advocate, I have to point out that some people will take the story more seriously, especiall those who are not right in the mind. We have all heard the stories on the news on how some teenager or older man thought it would be funny to mess around with a young girl. In the story, this is true love and that should mean something, but some people just don't get it.

  3. when stephine wrote jacob explaining the imprinting did any one take close note :
there not inlove its a energy drawing them to be around them they would make the best big brother best friend and even when she gets older dates there behind them not encouging them to sleep with them or chasing them to date !! why do people always have to turn simple things into sex things ,stephine made a new way of looking at things , if you noted in the book stephine made that edward was against sex till they got married she was putting morals into the book so why would she have a young child sleep with a almoust adult
jacob doesnt age , so he has endless time to wait for her, stephine s a great writer she did a great job on the book

  4. Um That Pic creeps me out!! Does Jake have to look so hot in it?! :) I never have got what she was thinking by writing it that way?! Man to ever come up with that is wack!! I read the books and I get it, and know Its totally not sexual. But i Just think that this one thing is going to create a huge drama around this movie that we as twi-hards do not need. There are already looney tunes out there biting eachother we totally dont want pedophiles!! And does Steph realize that every show and magazine are going to want to ask her this one question over and over?! Ugh I loved this series, Obsessed over and over about it. But I cannot like or understand this. I totally lets Team Jake fans down! He deserved a real love <3 I wonder how Summit will go about it. Will they even write it in at all will the just make Jake an uncle I dunno, but good question :) !!!???!!!

  5. In Breaking Dawn, the feelings Jacob has for Reneesme are in no way sexual its more of like a protective uncle, who will eventually maybe grow into something. Kinda sad Jake didnt meet his match straight away! but good things take time.

  8. It will no doubt be a source of controversy for BD when it hits theaters. There's no sexual component to it whatsoever. I think it was very well explained by Jacob in the garage scene in Eclipse.

  9. I love the pics. And all of you guyz who's replying and thinking nasty. He is not going to touch her like some child malester. He just wants the best for her and loves her. He's going to wait till she's his age because of course he doesnt age. And honestly, I wish that I waws Nessie because if her bf is a sexy thing like that...woo! I would not even care if I was like 7. haha!! <3 Jacob and Nessie freverz.

  10. I think it will be easier to see and understand Jacob's feelings if they show Quil and Claire on the beach and the relationship that he has with her that is completely non-sexual. If they do then maybe it won't be as big of a controversy as is being anticipated over Jacob/Reneesme.

  11. If you paid attention to the movie, Quil and Claire isn't mentioned. You all might think that a grown man sexually attracted to an infant (whether he will currently act on those feelings or not) is okey-dokey, but it seems that the Hollywood crowd didn't agree. And if it won't fly in Hollywood, then it's pretty twisted my friends.

  12. Where did all this sexual thing come from? probably people who hasen't read the books? Well... I've read them, more than three timesm and that sexual thought didn't even cross my mind. The way Jake explains it in the books... It's nothing sexual, ok?

  13. I agree that if they had mentioned or shown Quil and Claire there might be a better understanding of the relationship as it translates to the screen. If you paid attention to the books, then you would understand from the scene with Quil and Claire that it is a familial protective relationship. I think they should show it to help explain. Although, I also agree that if you only look at Jacob and Reneesme then it is quite abnormal.
